Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire sprinkler industry, a valid Sprinkler Fitter License, and a driver’s license. As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. All fire sprinkler systems must be installed in strict accordance with NFPA 13 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per local codes, NFPA 13 standards, and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine the layout and installation of systems.
- Perform system tests to ensure they are working properly and meet industry standards.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with NFPA 13, local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sprinkler systems in a timely manner.
- Work with other team members and contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, including parts used, labor, and system tests.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Fire sprinkler fitting.
- Valid Sprinkler Fitter License required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems, installation procedures, NFPA 134 standards, and safety codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical ability to lift and carry tools and equipment as needed for installations.
- Ability to use various construction tools and machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety certification
- Computer skills (Dropbox, Microsoft, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
