Durham Academy (DA) is accepting applications for a Middle School Mathematics Teacher to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education or mathematics, although an advanced degree or other commensurate experience is preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of teaching experience in the Mathematics classroom; be prepared to teach a range of mathematics courses (5th grade through Algebra); demonstrate commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and collegiality; and have a passion for working with middle school students. This position reports to the Middle School Director.

Specific Responsibilities Include :

  • Teaching several sections of Middle School Mathematics courses, including instructional design and curriculum development
  • Serving as a Middle School Advisor for 10-12 students
  • Carry out required supervisory duties
  • Participate in professional collaboration groups such as grade-level teams and task forces
