What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVENT COORDINATOR position at Durham County?
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Coordinate and implement duties of assigned events for Durham County Stadium and Facility Use.
- Complete advance work requests, staffing, timing for events at the facility.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned events; respond to requests, incidents or situations that require decisions from a Durham County representative and administers applicable county and facility policies.
- Complete pre-event walkthrough of the facility to ensure proper event set-up, check conditions of the venue.
- Perform post event reporting including inspecting facility for damage, contractor / staffing timekeeping or any subsequent reports by event or stadium procedures.
- Maintain the stadium’s internet presence including the website, events calendar, social media, and additional partner information requests.
- Provide administrative support duties including recordkeeping, creation of event information sheets, staffing requests, research of product / industry trends, and responding to community member requests and inquiries.
- Perform quality control checks of contractors, staff, and the facility.
- Maintain inventory of facilities event equipment. Assist with coordinating staffing and programming of the stadium’s equipment.
- Ensure proper operations of stadium’s marquee, sound, scoreboard, delay of game clocks and video systems.
- Serve as Manager on duty when necessary.
- Performs related tasks as required.
