Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct physical assessments and document patient symptoms, medical history, and treatment progress
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Perform procedures such as venipuncture, gastric lavage, and wound care
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Utilize Epic or other electronic health record systems for patient charting and communication
- Wound care and preventative skin care
- Measurement of wounds and documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of North Carolina
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment protocols
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and other clinical procedures
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing
- Experience working with electronic health record systems such as PCC or similar platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
