What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse/Triage Position position at Durham Women's Clinic?
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in women’s health, triage, and clinical management to join our team. This role involves overseeing daily clinic operations, and providing expert triage care. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience, excellent clinical skills in women’s health, and the ability to handle both administrative and patient-facing duties.
- Triage: Respond to patient calls and online inquiries, assess symptoms, and provide guidance or escalate to providers as needed.
- Managerial Duties: Support nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care and smooth clinic operations.
- Patient Care: Assist in patient consultations, assessments, and treatments as necessary, including educating patients on women’s health concerns.
- Clinic Operations: Manage clinical schedule, ensure compliance with clinic policies and protocols, and support efficient patient flow.
- Training & Development: Lead onboarding and training for new nursing staff and facilitate ongoing education for clinical staff.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, oversee nursing documentation, and contribute to clinic reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Active RN license in North Carolina.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in women’s health, including triage experience.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills; collaborative team player; compassionate and caring; accountable; self-directed. Able to prioritize medial emergency phone calls, explain lab/test results, and communicate effectively within the patients level of understanding.
