What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at Duro-Last?
Duro-Last Roofing is the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems. We are looking for a Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at our Carrollton, Texas location. This is a full-time hourly position that comes with excellent benefits! This position is also eligible to take part in the company's annual bonus program!
Position Responsibilities:
- Travel between the Duro-Last plant and construction sites, home every night
- Complete mandated safety paperwork
- Ability to ready and interpret Bill of Lading
- Complete packing list and order blank
- Fulfilling customer orders accurately and timely
- Using a scan gun to send complete and accurate orders to customers
- Operate dash board mounted Electronic Log Device
- Loading product onto semi and meet weight requirements
- Prioritizing truck loading schedules
- Ensuring orders are in compliant with all Duro-Last, Local, State and Federal safety regulations
- All other duties assigned by Regional Sales Manager or Plant Manager
Position Requirements:
- Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement and two years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, and building materials is preferred
- Must be able to operate a fork lift safely
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Bend, push, carry, lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have excellent problem solving, analytical ability, and communication skills
- Schedule flexibility and available for overtime
