Inventory Control Technician
Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has a full-time opening for an Inventory Control Technician in their Shipping Department. The position is located at our plant in Carrollton, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Verify all transfer documentation that is received into warehouse
- Accurately post inventory transactions for warehouse
- Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Investigate and resolve negative balances and all other inventory discrepancies
- Perform verifications of data entered by other employees
- Conduct month end material count and be a key player for year-end physical inventory count
- Monitor inventory levels, order materials as needed and process all returns
- Creating and Maintaining shop orders
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 to 3 years of experience in inventory or distribution
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Experience with bar-coding preferred
- Must be accurate and have a high attention to detail
- Experience with cycle counts and year/month-end inventory
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Excellent clerical skills to include MS Excel/Word and AS-400 Mapics experience desired
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent math skills
- Must be flexible with hours and able to work overtime
- Must have or be able to obtain a forklift certification
