What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tattoo Apprentice position at Dusk Till Dawn Tattoo Studio?
As a tattoo apprentice you will be expected to open and close the studio from 11am to 6pm at least 3 days a week. The days you pick are up to you. Once per week mopping the floor and watering the plants. Every day you're there you will be learning new tasks, doing general tidying/cleaning, greeting everyone who walks into the studio at our front desk, etc.
As homework or while at the studio you will be expected to draw specific designs or do drawing exercises. After 1 - 2 months of drawing on paper, you will start practicing tattooing on fake skin. After 3 - 6 months of practicing fake skin you will start tattooing on people (hopefully you have some friends and family who want to support your journey by getting tattooed as well). As you start progressing with tattooing people and doing consistent quality work, you will be able to do walk in tattoos.
A tattoo apprenticeship is 1 year at minimum, 2 years at maximum.
