What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Associate position at Dusky Goose Winery?
In the heart of Dundee, the Dusky Goose tasting room is located at our Rambouillet Estate Vineyard overlooking the gorgeous Dundee Hills. For the past 20 years, we have been producing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced by the hands of founding winemaker, Lynn Penner-Ash and with our current winemaker, Hans Van Dale. We are owned by local Oregonians, John and Linda Carter. The Dusky Goose portfolio includes our flagship Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, several single vineyard Pinot Noirs, and Chardonnay. We focus on high quality, limited production wines from the Dundee Hills that are released after 5 years of bottle aging. Our current releases are 2017s and 2018s and our extensive library rivals as one of the best in the valley.

Tasting Room Associate Role:
• Host guests at our Estate tasting room through tasting experiences
• Build advocacy with our guests by educating them about our unique history, wine, vineyards, the Dundee Hills AVA, and all things Dusky Goose
• Deliver steps of service to ensure a consistent and memorable experience for guests
• Properly execute orders on Wine Direct, as well as book and edit reservations on TOCK
• Confidently sell wine and club memberships
• Work closely with the Hospitality Manager to achieve sales and membership goals

Preferred Experience:
• 3 years of hospitality, tasting room, or related service experience
• Passionate about wine and the Oregon wine industry
• Enthusiasm for spreading brand awareness
• Skilled at collaboration and working as a team
• Time management and organizational skills
• Experience with Wine Direct and TOCK reservation system, or similar applications
• Ability to work weekends, some holidays, and occasional evening events
• Physical ability to work on your feet and lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and OLCC Server permit
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation
Saturday and Sunday availability is required / competitive hourly rate and commission sales quarterly team bonuses based on hitting sales goals. Part time: 2 - 4 days per week
