Position Overview :
Dutch Bros is looking for a summer law clerk to join the commercial law team. The Law Clerk, Commercial Law Intern works with Dutch Bros attorneys, paralegals, and other professionals in various areas of commercial law including commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment, franchising, and securities law. This role will be required to work up to 40 hours per week, for a duration of 9-13 weeks.
Job Qualifications :
- Enrolled and in good standing at an ABA-approved law school, required
- Current Dutch Bros employees and students who require an internship / clerkship for credit, preferred
- Dutch Bros experience preferred, not required
- Candidates must have reliable transportation available for the duration of the (9-13 week) internship in Tempe, AZ
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Able to plan and organize projects efficiently
- Completed contracts and one other commercial law course (e.g., employment law, intellectual property, etc.) in their law school curriculum
- Microsoft Office and Google Docs experience
- Highly organized and efficient
- Experience with file management
- Legal research and writing proficiency
- Ability to communicate persuasively in both written and verbal forms
- Work well and independently under pressure
- Love the Dutch Bros Coffee culture and work to protect it
Location Requirement :
This role is located in the Greater Phoenix area and is required to be in office at our headquarters in Tempe, AZ, 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
