Position Overview :
The Senior Manager of Data Management will lead and drive the successful implementation of data management initiatives across our organization. This role will focus on developing and executing data management strategies, overseeing data governance, and ensuring seamless data integration across various systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, project delivery, and team leadership.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in data management, including 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification preferred.
- Data Governance : Proven track record in implementing data governance frameworks, quality management, and data architecture solutions. Experienced in developing and enforcing governance policies.
- Data Architecture : Expertise in designing data solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud platforms (AWS : S3, Redshift, Glue; Azure : Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
- Data Integration : Hands-on experience with ETL / ELT processes and real-time data integrations (Kafka or similar).
- DataOps & DevOps : Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native data services for streamlined operations.
- Cloud Platforms : Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including Lambda, EC2, Data Lake Storage, and Event Hubs.
- Data Modeling & Warehousing : Advanced data modeling skills (e.g., dimensional modeling, data vault) and expertise in real-time / streaming architectures.
- Programming : Proficient in SQL, Python, and Scala for data engineering and solution development.
- Data Quality & Compliance : Familiar with data protection regulations and industry standards related to data privacy and security.
- Leadership : Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in data practices.
- Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze complex datasets to derive insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Communication : Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile project management certification (Scrum Master, PMP) is a plus.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Location Requirement :
This role is located in the Greater Phoenix area. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
