Dutch Country Soft Pretzels in New Holland, PA is looking for one Bakery Assistant Manager to join our 17 person strong team in our manufacturing facility. We are located on 2758-1 Division Hwy, New Holland, PA. We foster a fun working environment in the production and sales of soft pretzel products, both retail and wholesale. Our ideal candidate is a team player, quality driven, attentive, reliable, dedicated, and hard-working. Experience working in a bakery is preferred; a minimum of one year in the foodservice industry is required. We will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring bakery machinery and equipment.
- Twisting and shaping soft pretzel products.
- Monitoring quality control points.
- Collecting and arranging soft pretzel products on trays and racks.
- Counting, packing, and labeling finished cases of soft pretzel products.
- Pick and stage orders for shipping.
- Fill out production logs.
- Sweep, mop, clean and sanitize bakery equipment and surfaces.
- Provide customer service to wholesale customers.
- Utilize basic computer skills for email, printing labels, sales orders, etc.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid identification.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, count, and communicate in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and food safety regulations.
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and with others.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 days.
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
- Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
- Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
- 1 year of work experience in a bakery preferred.
- 1 year of work experience in the foodservice industry is required.
- Must complete the in-house forklift-training program.
Physical Requirements
- Shift hours: minimum 8-hour shifts depending upon business needs.
- Lift/Carry/Push/Pull: 50 lbs.
- Stand 65%, sit 0%, walk 35%.
- Basic hand/eye coordination.
