What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Dispatch position at Dutch Maid Logistics?
The 3rd shift dispatch position is a critical piece of the success to Dutch Maid Logistics and has a direct link with our most important resources, which are our drivers. This position requires the ability to build trusting and lasting relationships with our drivers to deliver our customers’ freight in a the most safe and timely manner. The 3rd Shift Dispatch Position strives to provide the highest level of service to both internal and external customers, make decisions to maximize the operation’s performance and be a positive contributing member of the team.
Job Duties
- Always answer the phone and respond to driver messaging in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with each driver and always maintain a professional, respectful demeanor when communicating with the drivers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize while havening a can-do approach and a will-do work ethic
- Proactively anticipate, analyze, and troubleshoot problems with deliveries aligning with DOT compliant solutions while being cost effective.
- Monitor all after hour communications
- Work closely with the Fleet Managers to assist drivers after hours.
Experience in Dispatch but not required
- Thorough knowledge of DOT, FMCSR, HOS Rules and regulations
- Experience with TMS and ELD Systems
- Previous truck driving experience a plus but not required
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, communication techniques and coaching skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures.

Schedule:
- 10 hour shifts on rotating basis
- 4 on 4 off schedule 21:00 – 07:00 (30 min lunch)
- Coverage could start at 19:00 when covering 2nd shift PTO
- $2.00/hour shift differential
