Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Selling Dutch Valley products to a diverse customer base, including independent supermarkets, country stores, and bulk food stores.
- Conducting sales calls to establish relationships with influential decision-makers and uncover new business opportunities.
- Promoting a range of bulk food products, delicatessen/refrigerated/frozen items, and exclusive manufactured items within the assigned territory.
- Maintaining a strong focus on new business development to ensure long-term growth of the territory, region, and company.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A college degree or 3 years of retail experience.
- A minimum of 2 years previous B2B experience, preferably in the food, grocery, deli, retail, food, and/or sales industry.
- Strong cold calling skills, listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CRM software and using MS Office and Outlook preferred.
- Superior time management skills, flexibility, and willingness to travel with frequent overnight stays required up to 60% of the time.
