JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager will lead the site maintenance and sanitation functions in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance and sanitation service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance and sanitation activities and their timely completion. This individual will assist in increasing site operational effectiveness, reduce equipment downtime, manage & implement improvement plans, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followed. The Maintenance Manager will direct the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures. He/she will implement and manage continuous improvement projects and recommend changes in training, working practices and processes.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Food Safety.
- Schedule, train, supervise maintenance & sanitation team to meet priorities within the organization.
- Coordinate work performed by 3rd party vendors.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
- Administrative SME for Limble CMMS.
- Lead procurement and monitor spare parts inventory.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Assist with preventive maintenance for multi-site facility and facility projects.
- Set up and follow a preventive and predictive maintenance program.
- Manage all machine uptime and downtime.
- Assist in the compliance of GMP and SQF.
- Develop and manage the expense budget assigned to the department.
- Lead procurement and installation of new production equipment or equipment reconfiguration.
- Oversee both day and nights shifts.
- Overtime and weekends may be required.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred or extensive plant level experience with significant proven management experience (7-10 years Management experience preferred)
- Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance
- Technical capability and understanding
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
