Job Summary
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Appliance Field Technician to join our appliance service team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the service industry. The technician will be responsible for assisting with diagnosing appliance issues, documenting problems and conducting service repairs in the field. A strong willingness to learn and a passion for technology are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with their appliances.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely to support diagnosis & repair.
• Conduct tests using multimeters to ensure proper electrical and continuity functionality.
• Work with DutchBoy staff to identify, log and order replacement parts.
• Telecommunicate with team members to coordinate tasks and report progress.
• Install, Replace & test components of appliances to return them to proper working order.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies while working in various environments.

Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge with an understanding of electrical systems.
• Familiarity with appliances and installation processes.
• Experience using hand tools and testing equipment such as multimeters.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to Appliance Servicing and Repair.

Further Details & Requirements

• On-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate
• A Monday through Friday weekly schedule (8am-6pm) will be provided
• Expectations are to complete ALL daily service calls and communicate with customers for coordination of arrival and service times
• Appropriate attire is required to represent DutchBoy while conducting service calls
• Uniform Shirts will be provided
• Adequate transportation and proof of auto insurance is required as this position will require local travel during the candidates probationary period (60-90 days depending on skill level). A Company car will be provided after the probationary period
• DutchBoy will provide reimbursement coverage for fuel use
• DutchBoy will provide the required tools to perform service work
• Any and all replacement parts and repair components to support the servicing of appliances will be provided by DutchBoy

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $46,000 - $65,000 based on experience

Experience:

• Appliance repair: 2 years (Required)
• Electrical troubleshooting: 4 years (Preferred)
• HVAC/R: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Cincinnati, OH & surrounding areas (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• None
