Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Business Analyst to oversee and enhance our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system with a focus on leveraging data analytics for business insights. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming raw ERP data into actionable intelligence, improving decision-making across the organization. This role combines ERP system management with advanced data analytics to optimize business processes and drive strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics and Insights:

1. Extract, transform, and analyze ERP data to generate actionable business insights.
2. Design and maintain dashboards and reports to support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
3. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement using data analytics.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

ERP System Management:

1. Oversee the ERP system's data structure, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
2. Implement and maintain data governance policies to ensure compliance and quality standards.
3. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units to align ERP functionality with analytics needs.
4. Collaborate with power users and ERP champions to promote best practices and ensure consistent system usage across the organization.

Advanced Data Integration and Automation:

1. Integrate ERP data with external systems and tools, such as Datarails, Phocas and Power BI
2. Develop automated workflows and data pipelines to streamline reporting and analytics processes.
3. Lead initiatives to incorporate predictive analytics and machine learning models into ERP-based analyses.

Requirements Analysis and Documentation:

1. Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document analytics requirements.
2. Translate business questions into data queries and reporting solutions.
3. Collaborate with IT resources to ensure ERP configurations support analytical needs.

Training and Support:

1. Provide training to end-users on ERP reporting and analytics capabilities.
2. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ERP data analytics processes and tools.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ERP reporting and data extraction.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Stay updated on emerging trends in ERP systems, data analytics, and visualization technologies.
2. Proactively recommend enhancements to ERP analytics tools and processes to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on ERP systems.
• Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).  Acumatica or Titan a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in SQL and data extraction from ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and database management.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with various analytic tools is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
