Job Title: Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Jasper Reports
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Jasper Reports experience to support, enhance, and improve database and reporting solutions for a large-scale project within the Statewide Education Data System (SEDS). This role requires strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedure development skills and the ability to perform complex data aggregation and analysis.
The developer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of reports that serve 1,200 school districts across Texas. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting bugs, documentation, unit testing, and report development using Jasper Reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle SQL & PL/SQL solutions.
- Develop and enhance Jasper Reports for critical data reporting needs.
- Perform unit testing and validation to ensure report accuracy and system reliability.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database queries, stored procedures, and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and enhance reporting requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and follow SDLC best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- 8 years of hands-on experience with Jasper Reports Development.
- 8 years of experience in unit testing and debugging database applications.
- 8 years of experience working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience using JIRA and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control.
