Job Description:
As a Sales Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales tax compliance and reporting for our organization. This includes ensuring accurate calculation, timely filing, and adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations. You will work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Sales to maintain compliance and mitigate risks associated with sales tax liabilities. Additionally, you will stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure our organization remains compliant.
Required/ Imperative skills:
- Assist with the preparation of various states sales tax returns.
- Multi state tax experience a MUST
Nice to have:
- Calculate, prepare, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns accurately and timely.
- Monitor sales transactions to ensure proper tax collection and reporting.
- Reconcile sales tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of sales tax transactions, filings, and correspondence.
- Prepare documentation for tax audits and assist in audit responses.
- Develop and maintain internal controls related to sales tax compliance.
