DCS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 5th Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in young learners. A key aspect of this role is helping students develop a love for God's world by incorporating faith-based principles into daily lessons and activities. Responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and incorporate a faith-based perspective.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Christian values.
- Teach students to appreciate and care for God's creation while integrating these concepts into the curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational and spiritual experience.
- Promote positive behavior, social skills, and a love for learning in alignment with Christian principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- State teaching certification for elementary education.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching, working with young children, and nurturing their faith.
