Duvera's client a global, full-service law firm with a strong presence in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of trial and e-discovery experience in a mid-size or large law firm environment.
This role involves managing all aspects of large-scale, complex litigation and requires flexibility for overtime and occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all phases of complex litigation cases, arbitrations, and investigations, including motion practice, discovery, trial, and appellate phases
- Manage and organize electronic and physical documents using the firm’s document management and litigation support systems.
- Produce both electronic and hard-copy documents.
- Compile and organize materials for witness preparation and depositions.
- Prepare for and attend court trials and arbitrations, managing all trial-related tasks such as :
- Preparing witness binders.
- Tracking and managing exhibits.
- Coordinating with trial consultants / vendors.
- Scheduling court reporters.
- Perform cite-checking and ensure adherence to Bluebook standards for motions and briefs.
- Prepare and maintain privilege logs
- File court documents electronically through ECF and other Texas-approved e-filing vendors.
- Utilize tools like Westlaw / Lexis, PACER, and Relativity proficiently for legal research and case management.
- Train and mentor entry-level project assistants , as needed.
- Support attorneys and managers with additional projects or tasks as requested.
