The Duxbury Middle School is seeking exceptional candidates for Long Term Substitute Grade 6 Teacher - Social Studies from March 24,2025 through the end of the 2024-25 school year.The position includes five sections of Ancient Civilizations and Geography I. The units of coverage will include Ancient China and Ancient South American civilizations.Position Requirements : Massachusetts DESE Certification in History (Grades 5-8) Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university Particular comfort teaching topics that include Ancient China and Ancient South American civilizations, Classroom management skills that support students' social-emotional learning Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks Current authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications : Previous teaching experience SEI Endorsement The Duxbury Middle School is committed to providing a safe and secure academic and social environment for students, and to fostering a school community that promotes respect, dignity, and a healthy life balance.
