Our Client has a 24-hour Licensed In-home Group Family Daycare located in the Baychester area of Bronx, NY, and is seeking a Full-Time Daycare Assistant Teacher to join their team. This role is perfect for individuals with experience as a Nanny, Teacher's Aide, Youth Program Coordinator, Customer Service Representative, or Healthcare Worker looking to transition into the childcare field.
Job Title: Full-Time Daycare Assistant Teacher ($18/hr)
Location: Baychester, Bronx, NY
Position: Daycare Teacher (Full-Time)
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Full-time (7:30 AM-5:30 PM; 4 days a week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide child care and supervision to children (ages six weeks to 12 years)
- Assist with daily activities, personal care (diapering, toileting), meal prep, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing lessons based on curriculum objectives
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining order
- Collaborate with staff and communicate with parents to provide leadership and support
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Program Provider/Director
Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a childcare, daycare, or educational setting
- Must have a High School Diploma.
- A CDA certificate or willingness to obtain it within 1 year is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Must have a passion for working with children, with patience and creativity
- Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain exceptional attendance
Requirements:
- Fingerprinting, medical clearance, and up-to-date immunization records
- State Central Register (SCR) clearance
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Must provide 3 professional references
