Director of Operations - Early Learning Center
Location: Oconee, Georgia, USA

Annual Salary: Starting at $55,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Operations to lead the business functions of a high-quality early learning center. The Director of Operations ensures efficient daily operations, compliance with regulatory standards, effective staff management, and sustainable financial performance. This position works in partnership with the Director of Education to uphold the center's commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all non-instructional operations, including staff scheduling, PTO tracking, supply ordering, and kitchen oversight
- Manage center finances: analyze P&Ls, track tuition revenue, and implement cost-saving strategies
- Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and health regulations
- Lead enrollment strategy, conduct center tours, and manage parent onboarding
- Direct marketing and outreach initiatives to boost visibility and enrollment
- Handle HR documentation, manage performance reviews, and promote staff retention
- Build and maintain positive family relationships to support long-term retention
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Proven experience in business operations, HR management, and family engagement
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as DECAL, Quality Rated, COGNIA, or NAEYC
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient in childcare management systems and financial tracking tools
