Elevator Parts Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Dwan Elevator is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Elevator Parts Specialist in our Oakland, CA headquarters.

We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual who is an early riser.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for ordering, inventorying and preparing parts and materials for jobs. This position works closely with the Mechanics, Sales, and Dispatch to ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Place orders for parts required for upcoming repair work
• Receive and verify receipts for incoming shipments
• Organize warehouse, label parts/materials, and maintain clean and safe condition
• Maintain parts bins and bin locations inside of the warehouse
• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload and organize freight both inside and outside of the warehouse
• Process, package, and ship return orders
• Provide support to mechanics as needed and occasionally deliver parts/materials to job sites
• Develop, monitor and maintain courteous relationships with parts vendors
• Maintain a reserve of frequently used parts and materials in the shop
• Ensure the parts room and parts warehouse areas are clean and organized at all times

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• The individual in this position should be personable, highly motivated, detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have personal accountability and self-management skills to prioritize and complete all tasks required of the position
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

DESIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree or higher
• Basic computer knowledge - Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Minimum of 2 years parts / warehouse / inventory management experience in service-based industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

The pay rate for this position is: $1,250 per week
