- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
- Participate in infection control measures to ensure a safe healthcare environment.
- Engage in utilization management to optimize resource use while maintaining quality care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in critical care, cardiac catheterization, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to medical billing is advantageous.
- Strong skills in infection control protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
