Summary: Coordinates Dwelling Place Neighboring and Placemaking programs and provides support for Dwelling Place Community Building and Engagement Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: The Project Coordinator works closely with CB&E Staff to collectively serve residents, nearby neighbors, volunteers and community partners. Primary responsibility for coordination of effective Neighboring and Placemaking programs. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Pervious experience in managing community programing, marketing, and/or communications activities.
Writing Skills: Excellent writing skills. Ability to prepare and edit accurate and compelling written materials for internal use, grant application, grant reporting and for public presentation. Ability to speak effectively before groups of funders, donors, residents, staff, board members and other community groups. Examples of written materials will be requested.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Professional Licenses, Certificates, Registrations: Valid Michigan Driver’s License and vehicle.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Facilitate community driven placemaking projects that foster relationship building, collaboration, and promote equitable services for residents in the neighborhoods served by Dwelling Place.
- Cultivate relationships across diverse communities to provide new opportunities for volunteer activities that are responsive to community culture and individual identities. Including:
- Establish, increase and strengthen partnerships
- Ongoing recruitment and engagement of participants in volunteer supported projects
- Ongoing support and guidance to select volunteers, residents and community leaders
- Work alongside partners and resident leaders to co-design and implement accessible projects that utilize equitable and best practices to authentically support the vision of Dwelling Place residents.
- Lead the writing, and submission of grant proposals along with required grant reporting.
- Identify funding sources to support existing and planned CB&E program activities as well as solicitation of program sponsorship.
- Design and implement continual internal and external communication/marketing strategies efforts about programming and opportunities
- Collecting and sharing Dwelling Place impact stories with the public.
- Create program marketing materials that adhere to the Dwelling Place brand standards.
- Actively serve as a CB&E team lead on engagement efforts at existing Dwelling Place properties to build relationships with and between current residents, connect residents to existing resources and vision future community improvement projects.
- Participate in the continuous quality improvement and data-driven decision-making processes to assess the efficacy of programming and to drive programmatic refinements. Ensure adherence to data collection, reporting and evaluation requirements.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with partners and funders to communicate agreement requirements, resolve inquiries and report progress.
