What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Oiler position at Dwire Earthmoving LLC?
Seeking oiler or entry-level mechanic to maintain and service construction equipment.
Job will consist of performing preventative maintenance on various brands of construction equipment. Equipment ranges in size from 150 Lb "Jumping Jack" plate compactors, all the way up to 160,000 Lb CAT scrapers.
You will be expected to know the basics of servicing machines, ie: engine oil changes, transmission fluid and filter changes, greasing, etc. Specific knowledge of each machine's maintenance requirements, drain plug locations, etc. are not expected. You will be required to maintain an inventory of filters and fluids on your company provided vehicle. You will be expected to make rotations from one job site to another, inspecting machines, determining service requirements, scheduling services, and performing services. Some services may be "emergency" and not pre-planned.
This job is 100% outdoors. You will be expected to perform your job in inclement weather, but not adverse conditions (ie: take the snow days off, and no work if the temperature is below 20*F). You are expected to be able to lift 50 Lbs, unassisted. This position requires a high level of mobility, you will be climbing up and down equipment, kneeling, laying down, etc.
This position also requires a Commercial Driver's License. Tanker and HazMat endorsements are a plus, but not necessary.
You must have a clean driving record.
