Position: Business Contact (BC) – FedEx Operations
Salary: Starting at $50,000-$60,000 per year
Schedule: Full-time

DWJ Logistics, a leading FedEx Independent Service Provider (ISP), is looking for a dedicated and experienced Business Contact (BC) to serve as the primary liaison between our team and FedEx corporate. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary Point of Contact: Act as the main liaison between DWJ Logistics and FedEx corporate, ensuring clear communication on operational issues and performance standards.
• Operational Coordination: Oversee service performance, deliveries, and schedules to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Pickup Management: Assign and track driver pickups, ensuring completion and accuracy.
• Daily Tracker Worksheet: Maintain operational data, including pickups, deliveries, and performance metrics.
• Coaching & Driver Support: Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to drivers.
• DRO Management: Optimize delivery routes nightly for maximum efficiency.
• Scheduling: Create the weekly schedule for drivers and trainees.
• Weekly Manager Meetings: Attend meetings with FedEx to provide updates and discuss operational improvements.
• Customer Service: Address service-related issues and support drivers and customers.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance metrics.
• Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to DOT regulations, FedEx policies, and industry guidelines.
• Training & Development: Train drivers and staff on FedEx’s processes and best practices.
• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Manage and resolve service disruptions.
• Data Reporting & Analysis: Report key performance data to drive continuous improvements.
• Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with FedEx and internal teams.
• Equipment Procurement: Order and manage equipment for drivers and managers.
• Staff Management & Disciplinary Actions: Oversee driver performance and take disciplinary actions when needed.
• Driving When Necessary: Step in as a driver if operational needs require it.
• Handling Call-Offs: Manage route coverage while following all regulations.
• Load Organization: Ensure drivers properly load vehicles for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or FedEx ISP operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve operational challenges
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and FedEx policies is a plus
• Must be able to drive if necessary
