DWK Life Sciences LLC (DWK) was created as a result of the merger of three industry leaders and provides the world’s laboratories and production environments with the most comprehensive range of labware for scientific research and technical applications as well as solutions for storage and packaging. Company revenue is generated through four primary channels : Global distributors, National distributors, Direct field selling efforts, and Inside sales selling efforts.
DWK supports four primary market segments : Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Analytical Sciences, and Industrial glass.
POSITION SUMMARY :
A Process Technician is responsible for evaluating and creating new process procedures for the rubber department. This position takes direction from the rubber manager to coordinate with production / sampling needs. The Process Technician develops the design of new products and helps to cost the jobs according to manufacturing processes and tooling required. The Process Technician ensures all processes are documented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Evaluate process performances in existing tools
- Optimize material utilization through process and improve scrap reduction
- Validations in conjunction with Quality on new molds and sampling
- Create standard processes for new products
- Follow internal / external validation protocols to qualify new molds
- Identify employee training needs and communicate to Dept. Manager
- Maintain good housekeeping and EHS requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure. Domestic / International travel occasionally.
