What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor, Instruments position at DWK Life Sciences?
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position will be responsible for the Safety, Quality, Productivity and Supervision of all production employees. Additionally, this position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and for participation in both the hiring and performance management processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assemble parts to complete assembly utilizing ultrasonic welding.
- Capable of assembling and training on all shop activities (roller racks, pumps, etc...)
- Package palletizes and labels finished product for stock.
- Test operation of unit(s) to ensure functionality and performance. Also responsible for production sign off and documentation of records.
- Confer with material handler on over-runs of parts and shortages.
- Confer with scheduling manager, engineering and quality department to resolve assembly issues and defective material issues.
- Promotes safe working habits and encourages proper housekeeping methods.
- Closing of production orders and explanation of variances
- Input production timecards and KPI Key Performance Indicators

Work may take place in an office, warehouse or manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure.
