Shipping / Receiving Lead I - Kingsbury
Full-time/Part-time
EMC-R54/64/61-6
To accurately and expediently package and ship orders from the production lines to the CDC and direct customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Package orders in a method that prevents damage to the product while using the smallest box to reduce shipping cost.
- Count every order to ensure the correct number of units are included in the shipment.
- Check product labels to ensure that they match the MO.
- Strong understanding of AS400, can run MOs in the system, look up sales orders and IPs to check qtys and due dates.
- Maintain an effective dialogue with all employees to foster good employee morale.
- Organize work areas before, during and after assignments. Is responsible for general housekeeping and organization of workstations.
- Can run UPS and FedEx labels in Connectship for sales orders.
- Ship special clean parts/coated parts out to vendors and receive back in to be shipped to customers.
- Able to communicate with CSR’s regarding orders that are on hold, account numbers, and returned orders.
- Responsible for changing the ship from plant.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
- Limit mistakes by reviewing quality of own work and following instructions
- Can package and ship orders in a timely manner
- Have strong organization skills
- Achieve Safety objective for the plant
Requirements
Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be a US citizen or have authorization to work in the US issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
- Minimum of 12 months of service.
Physical/Mental Essential Functions:
- Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Able to read/speak in English and follow verbal/written instructions
- Able to count and sort
- Able to interact/communicate with respect of fellow co-workers and management
- Able to push/pull and reach above shoulders
- Able to control operation of hand and/or foot
- Able to turn wrist frequently in a repetitive motion
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
