The Cyber Security Intern plays a key role in the DwyerOmega IT Security, Risk and Compliance team. Cyber Security Intern engages with their team to support our cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. This internship will provide hands on experience in cybersecurity operations, compliance frameworks and completion of security assessments for a global organization.

- Security Operations and Incident Response:
- Assist in monitoring security threats and identifying vulnerabilities
- Support investigations and document findings
- Assist in implementation and testing of controls
- Compliance and Governance:
- Assist in tracking of compliance with NIST and CMMC and other security frameworks
- Support security audits and compliance assessments
- Maintain and update security documentation
- Training and Awareness
- Help develop cybersecurity awareness materials and training programs
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Strong interest or experience in cybersecurity, IT security or compliance
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, security frameworks and risk management
- Experience with security tools and monitoring is a plus
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical ability
- Ability to work across a cross-functional team independently and collaborate when necessary
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001 or SOC2
- Experience with security tools ( SIEM, IAM and vulnerability scanners) or services
- Security certifications ( CompTIA Security , Associate CISSP, etc.) ( desirable but not required)
- All DwyerOmega Sites and Remote Options - Available
- Potential travel up to 10% of time
- Hours: 24-40 hours (Flexible)
