Job description
As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and efficiently. You will utilize your knowledge of financial concepts and tax regulations to provide exceptional service to clients.
## Responsibilities
- Interview clients to gather necessary financial information for tax return preparation
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
- Utilize software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting tools to assist in tax preparation
- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to accurately advise clients
## Experience
- Must be knowledgeable of Individual Taxes.
- Knowledge of business and corporate taxes is a plus
- Candidates will be meeting with clients and preparing their taxes in an accurate and timely manner.
- A PTIN number is required for this position.
- Tax preparers must be flexible with their availability and be able to work regular business hours, as well as evenings and Saturdays DURING tax season only.
- This position could be a Full Time or seasonal part time position depending upon the person availability and willingness to work with us.
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, and well-organized and possess the ability to manage and work effectively with others.
- Strong tax planning, preparation, review and research skills.
