- Essential Job Functions:
- Participate in software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of more experienced team members
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines
- Contribute to the documentation of software requirements and specifications
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance from senior team members
- Support the implementation of emerging technologies and best practices
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
- Actively learn from and assist more experienced team members
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Relevant experience, typically 2 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies, including:
- Java, older versions, and modern versions,
- JavaScript
- Java Server Faces (JSF)
- Java Server Pages (JSP)
- VB6 and http://VB.NET
- IBM NET.DATA
- SQL including PL/SQL
- UNIX/AIX command line and scripting
- Perl scripting
- Proficiency in 1 or more technologies, including:
- IBM WebSphere, older versions especially
- Oracle WebLogic and ADF development
- Oracle databases, older versions and modern versions
- Oracle Data Integrator
- Oracle DRDA (database technology integrator)
- Oracle Forms 6
- iSeries AS400
- DB2 for i database
- DB2ii (database technology integrator)
- Basic understanding of coding and debugging
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
- Relevant certifications or training a plus
- Candidate will work a hybrid arrangement to accommodate client needs
