What You´ll Do
- Providing telephone and email support for all applications, proprietary programs and computer equipment used by the firm
- Ensuring the 2nd-level support is monitored at all times during hours of operation
- Responding to requests in a courteous, professional, and appropriate manner
- Documenting requests using a ticketing system.
- Assessing and resolving all support requests based on urgency, type of issue and available resources
- Applying problem-solving techniques to resolve Help Desk issues prior to escalating.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing software and hardware problems and arranging for repairs as appropriate

- Collaborate with the software development team to design, code, and test software solutions, focusing on developing and maintaining critical components
- Support in application and developer
- Work with senior team members to meet project requirements and deadlines, actively participating in design and code reviews
- Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving in software development, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
- Participate in the development and documentation of software requirements and specifications
- Debug and resolve complex production issues, working closely with senior engineers and support teams
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices, researching and proposing innovative solutions
- Assist in mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise
- Take ownership of challenging technical tasks and collaborate on architectural decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering preferred
- Typically, 2 years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role and years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in any of the following: Perl, Windows, Oracle/SQL, HTML, CGI, Unix/Linux, CSH, Cron, Python, Java
- Experience analyzing and documenting
- Application support and application developer
- Strong programming and debugging skills
- Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good team collaboration and communication abilities
- Remote to Puerto Rico only (Resources need to reside in Puerto Rico)
- Bilingual English and Spanish
