Job Title: Material Handler
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit individual to join our Wooden Pallet Recycling Team. This role involves the physical handling and processing of used wooden pallets. The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Sorting and Inspection:
- Inspect incoming pallets for quality, damage, and potential hazards.
- Sort pallets by type, grade, and condition.
- Identify and separate reusable pallets from those requiring repair or disposal.

Pallet Repair:
- Perform basic repairs on wooden pallets, such as replacing boards, tightening nails, and reinforcing structures.
- Utilize hand tools and potentially basic woodworking equipment.

Material Handling:
- Load and unload trucks with pallets using manual and mechanical means (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Stack and store pallets neatly and efficiently in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.

Experience/Skills:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment preferred.
- Basic hand tool skills (hammer, wrench, screwdriver)
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (a plus)
