Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to :
- Repair / fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment
- Install equipment using manufacturer specifications ensuring proper alignment balance and tolerances
- Read and understand an IOM and BOM
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to :

Additional Information :
Physical demands : Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and ability to stand for long durations
Working Conditions : Climate controlled shop environment
Training / Certifications : Professional skill training is a plus
Shift Time / Overtime : Typical work is 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm and occasional overtime may be required
Travel : Occasional overnight driving might be required. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
Education : High School Diploma or GED. Vocational, industrial or mechanical education is a plus but not required
