Responsibilities of the  Service Manager  include, but are not limited to :

  • Responsible for implementing and actively supporting the Pro-Seal safety program. Conduct monthly safety meetings, maintaining records as appropriate.
  • Provide proactive support of company vision, policies, procedures and initiatives, including but not limited to, the Employee Handbook and Quality Manual. Deliver and fortify management communications to team. Coach and monitor direct reports. Communicate customer service philosophy and focus.
  • Responsible for establishing an atmosphere of service excellence and providing same to our customers. Resolve customer problems, questions and complaints by analyzing each situation with great efficiency. Maintain processes to monitor and report performance including weekly project review meetings and reports.
  • Ensure profitability of repair shop projects with thorough evaluations, accurate quotations, efficient processing and complete quality control and testing.
  • Continuously monitor all open projects and manage resources to make certain appropriate progress and communication with customers and salesman.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Project Administrators, Shop Supervisor and sales in support of the above objectives.
  • Solicit the sales of all Pro-Seal repair and service capabilities. Support distribution business and increase equipment reliability by including value add products in repair work.
  • Responsible for evaluating machinery and tooling needs for the department. Communicate needs and justification to Pump Products Manager.
  • Shall direct maintenance required on building, grounds and company owned infrastructure; along with production machinery and tooling. Will establish and direct maintenance schedules, tracking and filing system.
  • Shall perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner and shall work in a manner consistent with safety of self and others at all times.
  • Make regular inspections of the building and equipment assigned to him / her during the week.
  • Shall achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, in-service and workshops conducted by Pro-Seal and / or other approved agencies.
  • Must work in accordance with the principals and procedures outlined in the QPI manual.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications of the  Service Manager  include, but are not limited to :

  • Experience in supervising a multi-faceted repair and service organization with a staff of 10 or more employees. Eight (8) years’ experience preferred.
  • Must possess basic computer skills. Familiarity with MS Office package required. Experience with enterprise software systems required.
  • Must be able to follow written / verbal directions from Vice President of Operations or the respective designee where applicable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to stay organized, work productively and efficiently is required. Must possess problem solving skills and multi-tasking ability.
  • Must have pleasant and courteous manner and be able to relate well to customers, vendors, Pro-Seal employees and all groups using the building.
  • Must display knowledge and initiative in maintaining safe and clean conditions in and around the shop area.
  • Must be able to maintain composure in emergency situations.
  • Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines.

    Shift Time / Overtime : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm.

    Travel : Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines.

    Education : High School Diploma required.
