We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our US fleet operations in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our vehicles while managing procurement, maintenance schedules, telematics, fuel, and operational logistics.
Responsibilities of the Fleet Manager include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of fleet vehicles
• Develop and implement cost-effective fleet management strategies
• Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs
• Implement and maintain fleet telematics systems (GPS)
• Prepare reports on fleet efficiency, costs, and performance metrics
• Develop policies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs
• Work closely with vendors, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications of the Fleet Manager include, but are not limited to:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fleet Management or 5 years’ experience in a Fleet Coordinator or similar transportation support role
• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety standards
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage budgets and control operational costs
• Proficiency in Holman fleet management software or similar a strong asset
• Experience with Geotab or similar telematics provider a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license
