Responsibilities of the Sandblaster include, but are not limited to:
- Abrades surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive blasting equipment
- May be required to perform additional tasks from fabrication to final assembly
- Shovels or pours abrasives, such as sand, grit, or shot of specified grade into machine hopper
- Masks specified areas of object to protect from abrading action
- Loads parts on racks, into barrels or into cabinets
- Examines finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications
- May assist painter, repair and lubricate machines and/or equipment
- May perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled workers
Qualifications of the Sandblaster include, but are not limited to:
- Must be able to read and interpret manufacturers and engineers instructions
- Must have knowledge of general surface preparation procedures
- Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted and 75lbs. assisted
Working Conditions: Shop environment
Training/Certifications: N/A
Shift Time/Overtime: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Travel: Local travel. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
Education: High School Diploma required
