Works under the Director of Strategic Sourcing in support of company goals, contracts and strategies. Able to drive spend to our Tier 1 supplier base, perform analyses as needed ensuring “Best in Class” results. Ensures all aspects of Supply Chain Services sourcing efforts are accomplished in a timely, accurate, efficient manner for all DXP engagements and market baskets. Map all Stock Keeping Units (SKU’s) with a high level of accuracy to approved suppliers ensuring cost competitive edge on existing customer costing to achieve contractual deliverables and capitalizing on margins for DXP.

Responsibilities of the Sourcing Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct accurate data analysis on all initial datasets prior to implementations or other company engagements
• Perform analysis on spend buckets to accurately determine Tier 1 spend
• Notify Director of Strategic Sourcing and Manager of Strategic Sourcing of any potential shortfalls when working through datasets pertinent to vendor relations
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and timeliness on all requests for sourcing efforts
• Work Market Baskets and RFQ’s as instructed by Business Development
• Provide feedback on performance levels and notify the Director of Strategic Sourcing if needed to pursue new suppliers as needed for specialty products
• Manage and make recommendation on substitutions for presentation during implementations to assist in achieving cost savings commitments
• Accurate and timely communication at all levels: Program Managers, General Managers, VP of Business Development and VP of Operations
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Manager of Strategic Sourcing to ensure DXP SCS meets and exceeds customer service needs, internal and external

Qualifications of the Sourcing Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Expertise in specific product category for which being hired
• Computer skills
• Basic computer and keyboarding knowledge including: Microsoft Excel intermediate skills. Microsoft PowerPoint basic skills. Microsoft Outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-Starter
• Ability to organize and manage their work

Shift Time/Overtime: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Flexible)

Travel: Minimal

Education: High School – Bachelor Degree Preferred
