About the Role:
We are looking for a Management Consultant with expertise in IT, software, and process improvement to support state and city government entities, public agencies, and regulated industries. This is a consulting role focused on providing strategic analysis and recommendations not a hands-on technical or managerial position.
As a consultant, you will work with multiple clients on a project basis to evaluate IT systems, business processes, and operational workflows, delivering expert insights to help optimize performance and efficiency. Your role is to analyze, advise, and recommend solutions, while the client s internal teams handle implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Assess IT Systems & Processes Conduct reviews of enterprise IT environments, workflows, and software applications to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Provide Strategic Recommendations Deliver advisory reports outlining process optimizations, technology recommendations, and governance enhancements.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders Work closely with senior leaders, business units, and IT teams to define business and system requirements.
- Prepare & Present Findings Create well-structured reports and presentations that provide clients with actionable insights and industry best practices.
- Advise on Process Improvements Suggest operational enhancements, digital transformation strategies, and technology roadmaps while remaining in an advisory capacity (no hands-on implementation).
- Engage in Project-Based Work Support multiple clients across state and city agencies, ensuring each project is completed within the defined scope and timeline.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field OR at least 8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, IT strategy, or process improvement.
- Strong consulting experience with a proven track record of working with government agencies, financial institutions, or enterprise organizations.
- Expertise in enterprise IT systems, business process improvement, and software strategy.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in business process modeling, workflow analysis, and IT governance.
- Ability to assess technology requirements and provide structured recommendations aligned with client needs.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executives and leadership teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery of advisory services.
- Knowledge of government operations and compliance requirements is a plus.
