What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Director position at Dyersburg Housing Authority?
Dyersburg Housing Authority is seeking a qualified candidate to manage the maintenance, grounds, and rehabilitation of public housing developments located in six counties. The Facilities Director will perform regular inspections of the properties to determine maintenance needs to be in compliance with HUD and DHA regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and will ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the maintenance department and personnel including job training needs. The Facilities Director will coordinate the modernization programs and long-term capital improvement plans, and is responsible for evaluating and developing needs assessments, and oversight of the procurement process for relevant programs. Must have working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing and general repairs. The job requires a minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in building maintenance, construction management, or a combination of other related education or experience.
