Dykema seeks a junior associate to join its Real Estate and Environmental Services Team. Detroit and Bloomfield Hills are the preferred office locations, but we will also consider candidates for all other Dykema Michigan offices. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse environmental matters with a collaborative team. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of introductory experience in some or all of the pillars of environmental law (regulatory, litigation, transactional, and policy), with strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Responsibilities include advising clients on compliance with site remediation, waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharges and chemical regulation, conducting legal research, assisting with transactional due diligence, drafting legal memoranda, supporting environmental litigation, and engaging with government agencies on compliance and permitting. Admission to practice in Michigan is required. Applicants should indicate their preferred office location in the cover letter. Hybrid schedule with in-office expectations weekly.
