Role Overview
In this role, you will help drive the company’s project pipeline in the Central and Eastern U.S., focusing on key energy markets such as SPP, PJM, and MISO. Your role will involve advancing large-scale battery storage projects by handling site acquisition, permitting, environmental reviews, and other steps needed to reach construction approval. As part of a dynamic and results-driven team, you will contribute to bringing critical energy infrastructure online efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in advancing energy storage projects from site evaluation to the start of construction, collaborating with various teams to address and resolve challenges
- Oversee and coordinate external consultants conducting land assessments, environmental reviews, and permitting analysis
- Identify and secure new land opportunities for greenfield project development
- Communicate with key external groups, including policymakers, to facilitate permitting, public outreach, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and officials to obtain necessary approvals
- Work alongside EPC, M&A, and Finance teams to align project strategies and milestones
Qualifications
- Experience working in energy project development
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Familiarity with GIS is beneficial
- Strong understanding of project development processes, including managing third-party vendors and contracts for due diligence
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and public speaking, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Highly motivated, ethical, and eager to grow professionally
- Regular travel of up to forty percent of the time
