Description
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Performs repairs on equipment and systems related to the operation. Implements oversees and keeps records for the Preventive Maintenance Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aids in the operation of the Company’s Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Mechanic Troubleshoots and repairs equipment necessary for the operation.
- Aids in maintaining an orderly and complete inventory of repair parts and supplies essential to plant operations.
- Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Identifies and report repairs that need to be completed on off-production shifts.
- Evaluate assigned projects and determine supplies required to complete the job as a Mechanic.
- Adheres to all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices of our food manufacturing industry.
- The maintenance Work area must be kept clean and organized.
- Performs additional duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or any upper management personnel.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Look for ways to improve production efficiencies and report ideas to department heads.
- All duties requested by your direct supervisor or any upper member of management.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Previous experience (3-5 years minimum) in industrial maintenance position specializing in industrial electrical controls (Additional experience required for levels ” “III,” and “Master”). Prior experience in food packaging preferred.
Qualifications
INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of safe operation of all hand tools and test equipment necessary to perform the job, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic as well as at least one (1) year experience in production and facility maintenance and safe plant maintenance operations. At least one (1) year experience with pneumatic systems and a general knowledge of pneumatics. Must possess basic tools required to perform mechanical duties. Must have knowledge of motor controls and relays ie. basic electrical skills.
Possess all necessary maintenance electrical skills to perform in depth electrical troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment and systems related to the operation of a food packaging facility. Implement, oversee, and keep records for a Preventive Maintenance Program. May have to apply mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance practices. PLC certification preferred. Possess PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalency required, formal mechanical training or courses and/or formal electrical training or courses a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent communication needed to interface with all departments. Ability to maintain reports on machine repairs and adjustments.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to use a standard calculator and have basic math skills. Must be able to work in fractions, decimals, and metric.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability required to prioritize and effectively handle demands of the job. .
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Any recent mechanical training for production equipment desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Fast pace work environment with some extended hours required.
WORK ENVIROMENT: Very good with Team support.

Salary : $26 - $33
