Dynacast operates 21 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries across the globe.

Position Summary:

The Finance Manager is a key leader within the Dynacast Lake Forest plant management team, responsible for overseeing the organization's financial activities and serving as a strategic business partner. This role not only ensures financial integrity but also educates and guides the team on the financial impact of operational decisions. Managing a team of up to three direct reports, the Finance Manager is expected to be on-site to provide effective business support. However, Dynacast values work-life balance and offers occasional flexibility (e.g., remote work or hours different from normal business hours, etc.) once trust has been established. Any flexible arrangements should be discussed and approved by the General Manager. Minimal travel (5-10%) may be required, primarily to other Dynacast North America facilities or Form Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate fiscal records in compliance with GAAP and strong internal controls. Oversee all accounting transactions, focusing on cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Update standard costs annually (or as needed) and collaborate with Engineering, Customer Service, and Production to validate costs, analyze manufacturing variances, and improve financial accuracy.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and presents them to plant leadership, the Executive Vice President of Dynacast North America, and the Corporate Finance team. This includes but is not limited to the Monthly Business Review (MBR), weekly cash flow and sales forecasts, the annual budget, P&L forecasts, and special projects
• Report on key financial metrics, including EBITDA, operating cash flow and other KPIs. Analyzes variances to metrics, investigates trends in the business and uses this information to make accurate forecasts and decisions to maximize profitability. Use this information to anticipate problems in advance and communicates actionable solutions to the management team
• Work with other departments to encourage an environment of continuous improvement and drive cost reduction
• Prepare and/or approve the business case for capital investments and manage the capital budget
• Use Epicor (ERP system) to record accounting transactions and provide financial support to other members of the management team to assist in decision-making processes. Utilizes OneStream consolidation system to submit weekly/monthly/annual reports and information
• Establish credit limits for new customers and determine credit rating and risks. Analyze ongoing AR issues regarding credit terms and timely payment schedules
• Collaborate and share leading practices with other Finance Managers and Corporate Finance team
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree with either an accounting or finance emphasis
• 6 to 10 years related experience in accounting with 3 or more years in a management or supervisory role as a Finance Manager or Controller with budgetary responsibility
• Alternatively, a high-performer without prior Finance Manager or Controller experience with strengths in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, and/or cost accounting will be considered

Preferred Skills:

• Master of Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant, and/or prior public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Manufacturing and ERP experience strongly preferred
