Job Summary
This position is located in Blum, TX , which is 50 miles south of Fort Worth, Tx. This position will also support 3 shifts in a manufacturing plant, so there is some flexibility needed.
The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for managing and supporting the daily human resources function including recruiting; hiring, onboarding, payroll, training; managing HRIS data and reporting; supporting the company culture and enforcing company policies and practices. Serve as a business partner to the operations.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement and administer programs for company employees. Responsible for development and integration of human resource programs, oversee multiple projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives (supervisor training, compliance training, succession planning & employee development, establish a community involvement team) Consistent, pro-active, high-energy level and able to work on own initiative
- Drive innovation in HR functions and processes. Keep up and research HR industry trends
- Coaches leaders and provide guidance regarding organization capability and workforce planning, retention rewards and incentives and leadership development
- Partner with department leaders to support engagement activities
- Provide HR practice and policy guidance and interpretation
- Investigating questions and/or complaints. Resolving employee relations issues and using each complaint/issue as opportunity to understand the true root cause and develop a plan to resolve the issue. Also be the employee advocate and address issues as necessary; review site issues with the Senior Human Resources Manager and applicable manager for resolution
- Full Cycle Salaried and Hourly recruitment
Support a broad range of local and corporate strategic HR initiatives to progress the HR function (mentorship program, Internship program, employee engagement, implement Diversity & Inclusion. Work with Marketing on Social Media for hiring).
- Counsel management on individual employment issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions, position creation and job description development
- Provide support in the administration of HR policies, labor laws, and work rules to ensure fair and consistent application. Be the first point of contact in resolving HR related inquiries at the site. Provides a broad range of services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures.
- Self-directed professional with sound judgment, proven abilities in strategic planning/analysis with excellent people skills
- Team with the Plant Leadership team to promote employee engagement throughout the Plant.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- N/A
Education and/or Experience
- 7-10 years of HR Generalist experience within a non-union manufacturing environment, Oil and Gas industry preferred. 2 years managing FMLA, LOA, etc.
- PHR preferred, not required.
- Strong HR generalist knowledge required, full working knowledge and understanding of HR legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and procedures including informed perspective on, employment law and compliance and employee relations.
- Hands- on experience developing and delivering Orientation, Production Supervisor training and other HR training required by the Division and/or Company.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt to changing environments. Self-starter with an ability to drive results as well as using a collaborative team approach.
- An uncompromising set of professionalism, ethics and integrity required; ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, communication, writing, multitasking, interpersonal and listening skills. Attention to detail a must.
- Proficient at MS Office required; HRIS system knowledge preferred
