Position Profile:
As a compassionate caregiver, you will be responsible for the well-being of clients residing at our Extended Care Program.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in the human services field is highly preferred.
- At least one year of experience working in a residential setting is necessary.
- Prior experience working with homeless and substance use disorder populations is highly desirable.
- Recovery Coach training is highly recommended.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Familiarize yourself with all policies and procedures.
- Provide support and oversight to Extended Care clients throughout your shift, including conducting hourly room checks and engaging in supportive conversations when clients are struggling.
- Conduct regular checks of the immediate area around the main building.
- Be responsible for cleaning the staff/visitor bathroom, including changing trash and mopping floors, as well as other light cleaning duties assigned by your supervisor.
- Arrange or provide transportation to emergency services when needed.
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Attend required training programs and scheduled staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
